Yes. Eat and Thrive Now is in-network with most major insurance plans for nutrition counseling and medical nutrition therapy (MNT).

We accept all major insurance plans, including Cigna, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Highmark, UnitedHealthcare, Medicare, and commercial Medicare Advantage plans.

Insurance coverage depends on your plan, diagnosis, and location. Our team verifies your benefits for you and reviews any copays or out-of-pocket costs before care begins.

We handle insurance verification as part of our service.

After you request a free consultation or appointment, our administrative team contacts your insurance company directly to verify coverage for nutrition counseling. We then explain your benefits clearly so you can make informed decisions with no surprises.

Yes. We offer a free 15-minute nutrition consultation for new clients.

During this call, you can:

  • Discuss your health goals and concerns
  • Learn how nutrition counseling may help
  • Ask questions about insurance, visits, and next steps

There’s no obligation — it’s simply a way to determine if Eat and Thrive Now is the right fit.

Your initial nutrition visit is 60 minutes.

Your registered dietitian will review your medical history, eating patterns, lifestyle, and goals. Together, you’ll begin developing personalized, evidence-based strategies that fit your life and support long-term health.

Care is collaborative, realistic, and judgment-free.

Before your appointment, you’ll receive access to our secure, HIPAA-compliant patient portal.

You’ll complete intake forms and upload a photo ID in advance. This allows your dietitian to focus fully on your care during the visit rather than paperwork.

If you need help at any point, our team is available by phone or email.

Follow-up nutrition visits typically last 30–60 minutes.

Most clients start with visits every 1–3 weeks, then space visits out as progress is made. Frequency is individualized based on your health needs and goals.

Yes. Eat and Thrive Now offers both in-person and telehealth nutrition counseling.

In-person locations:

  • 455 Main Street, Peckville, PA
  • 702 Church St Hawley PA 18428
  • Cleveland Heights, OH (just outside Cleveland proper)

Telehealth visits are conducted through a secure, encrypted video platform. You’ll receive the same personalized, evidence-based care as you would in person.

Yes. Telehealth is available for clients located in certain states, depending on provider licensure. We currently offer telehealth appointments for clients in:

Alabama, Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, and Wisconsin.

If you live in one of these states, you can request care through telehealth and we’ll confirm availability based on your location and the dietitian you’re scheduled with. Because licensing regulations can change, we recommend contacting us to confirm current availability before scheduling.

If insurance does not cover your visit or if a copay applies, we accept:

  • Credit cards
  • Debit cards
  • HSA/FSA cards
  • Cash
  • Check (payable to Eat and Thrive Now, LLC)

Payment expectations are always reviewed in advance.

No, not at all. Nutrition counseling at Eat and Thrive Now is not focused on weight loss alone — and for many clients, weight is not the goal at all.

We specialize in medical nutrition therapy for chronic disease management, eating disorders, sports nutrition, family nutrition, digestive health, and building a healthier relationship with food. When weight is discussed, it’s done thoughtfully and clinically, and always aligned with your health needs and personal goals.

If you’ve avoided nutrition counseling because of past experiences with dieting or pressure, you’re not alone — and you’re welcome here.

Often, no referral is required to schedule an appointment.

However, some insurance plans require a referral for coverage. If needed, we can coordinate directly with your physician to help streamline the process.
